Newborn Photographer Colorado Springs – 4 week old baby
As a Colorado Springs newborn photographer I get to see babies so often and it warms my heart. In addition to being a newborn photographer I am a mom of 4 babies, my youngest being 2. It’s amazing how quickly they grow and you forget how little they once were. I love when families trust me to capture newborn photos for each of their babies. I had the opportunity to capture this beautiful newborn baby girl at 4 weeks old. She was a sweet miracle baby conceived by IVF to two of the most loving parents.

Dogs and Babies
Want to know one of the best parts about photographing your newborn photos in the comfort of your own home? Capturing your fur babies with them. Capturing photos of dogs and babies is so cute to see. This German Shepherd was so protective of the new baby girl in the house and didn’t want to let her out of his site.
Capturing the in-between
In home newborn photography is a great way to capture timeless photos of your sweet baby, but the most comfortable way to capture your family with the new baby. We shoot in several different areas of the home and no room is off limits. Don’t worry your home doesn’t need to be magazine perfect. During our time together I love capturing the in-between moments. The moments you don’t even know I’m capturing, but will love to have. Capturing the true love between you and your new baby in these in between moments is something you won’t be able to get in a studio portrait session, and it is why I gently encourage everyone to consider an in home newborn photography session.

let’s work together
capture life as it is now
I love working with families who want to capture life as it is now. Because in the blink of an eye, “someday” becomes a year from now. Throughout the tiresome days, tiny but meaningful moments are happening within your family that you won’t want to miss out on capturing. Things you don’t know you’re missing are the things you’ll always want to remember. The kiddos grow so much year to year and it is important to capture them in this season of life, whatever season that might be.

RELAXED AND NATURAL POSING
“My husband and I are awkward, will you tell us what to do?” Of course! I don’t like to do unnatural or super posed shots, but I will give you some light direction on how to stand or position yourselves so there are no awkward photos. I’ll encourage kids to relax, play and snuggle up with mom and dad. Tickle fights, silly words, or big bear hugs happen on the regular to capture the most authentic and genuine smiles. Don’t worry I’ll let you know if you’re doing something funny with your hands, or have a goofy face. I’m here to capture joy while making sure you look good!

CLASSIC CANDID PHOTOS AND FILMS
As a family photographer and a mom of 4 kids, I am drawn to those candid moments, but I understand that most clients want classic, look at the camera and smile shots, too. We will do a mixture of both styles, with various backgrounds so you have a variety of images to choose from in your final gallery. I know my favorites won’t always be your favorites. If you prefer more candid than posed, or vice versa, just let me know either at booking or at the start of your session and I’ll make sure I capture photos you will love and cherish.
fleeting moments captured in real time
These moments pass by far too quickly and we quickly forget them. Freeze time by adding a short film on to your newborn session and relive these precious memories through a documentary film for years to come.
