Pregnancy is such a beautiful season of life. This time can feel exhausting, It is so important to capture these memories while this sweet baby is still on the inside. A maternity photoshoot is typically scheduled between 32 and 36 weeks, or really as far along as you’re comfortable. Although this beautiful mama was already feeling uncomfortable, she came to me to capture magical maternity photos for her with her husband and her special needs daughter. She is about to welcome her second baby and wanted to capture these photos to document these last moments as a family of 3.

Maternity Photoshoot with mountain views

We live in the beautiful state of Colorado. It is no wonder so many expecting moms want to capture their maternity photos with the beautiful mountains behind them. This particular location is on the Air Force Academy and would only be available to families who have military access. While the sun was shining, the wildflowers were blowing in the wind and this family looked so beautiful.

Generally during maternity photoshoots that include family we will capture photos of the whole family, mom and dad with the baby bump and just mama and her sweet baby bump. Capturing photos with your first baby before welcoming your second baby is so important. You will love looking back on these memories for years to come. Be sure to book a newborn session in combination of your maternity photoshoot. That way you will have these beautiful memories of new baby on the inside in addition to them in your arms.

fleeting moments captured in real time

These moments pass by far too quickly and we quickly forget them. Freeze time by adding a short film on to your newborn session and relive these precious memories through a documentary film for years to come.
