A Lifelong Passion for Photography

Photography has always been one of my greatest passions. Ever since I was little, I was the one at school always snapping photos of friends and capturing memories. It’s a good thing I did, too, because I have an awful memory! When I look back at those old photos, I’m so grateful I was the girl with the camera, preserving those moments that I might have otherwise forgotten.

At the age of 16, I took my love for photography a step further when I started working part-time in the camera department at Best Buy. This was when digital cameras were just starting to replace film, and I was completely fascinated by the technology. I bought my first digital camera shortly after and have never looked back. Over the years, I’ve continued to refine my skills and expand my capabilities, and now, nearly 23 years later, I’m proud to call photography not just my passion but my profession.

In addition to my love for photography, I’ve always been drawn to the world of business. In 2008, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in business management, and in 2010, I completed my MBA. During this time, I worked as a sales manager for a retailer, and while I enjoyed many aspects of my job, I always dreamed of owning my own business.

That dream became a reality in 2013 when I officially launched Stephanie Lynne Photography and Films. After welcoming my first child in 2012, I knew it was time to leave the corporate world behind and focus on what truly made me happy. With the support of my husband, I took the leap, and I haven’t looked back since. It’s been an incredible journey as a Colorado Springs family photographer, and I’m so grateful to the many families who have trusted me to capture their most important moments.
