It’s a boy! {Colorado Springs newborn photographer}

As a Colorado Springs newborn photographer I often photograph families multiple times. This sweet family was no different. I watched them go from a beautiful couple anxiously awaiting their first baby at their maternity session, to them loving on their first baby, a sweet little girl, to them anxiously awaiting their second baby at their next maternity session and finally at this most recent newborn session as the whole family (even the adorable pup!) loved on this sweet little boy. It doesn’t get much better than that.

What I love the most about my job is that my beautiful families welcome me into their homes soon after they have their babies. I get to watch them adjust to the new dynamic, watch the big sister jump for joy as you ask her about her new role as a big sister, I get to see and capture the beautiful nursery that they spent months preparing and overall just watch the love and joy beam from families as they are in front of the camera.

This little man, William, came home on oxygen. He was totally fine, but in Colorado a lot of babies just need a little extra oxygen in the first couple months. I have had several clients with babies on oxygen during the session, and it’s just all part of their story. It doesn’t take away from those sweet little newborn photos and memories you will want to remember as they grow.

When you brought your babies home, how did your animals react? I love when families ask me to capture the family pet in the photos. This family’s sweet pup has always loved on the babies, and capturing him in the nursery with the babe was a must. Look how much he adores that little man already, I bet they will be the best of friends!
